There are so many fragrant plants to choose from, it can be daunting to narrow down your choices to ensure what you’ve selected will work well together. One of the easiest ways is to let the professionals do the work and get one of our pre-planned gardens. Last year I planted the Butterfly & Hummingbird Garden, and now every time I step into the garden it takes my breath away. At least one of these aromatic plants is in bloom at any given time during the summer [...]  Most gardens have a shady area or two – or more. The number and location of these areas can change as a garden matures and trees and shrubs reach full height, so the need to find plants that work well in the shade can be ongoing. Shade in the garden is a double-edged sword: It can be cool and refreshing or it can be gloomy. Within the constraint of the green, there’s a wealth of shades and hues, as well as leaf textures.
